In 1993, Wilbur Blansit retired with a passing of the mantle service to his son, Don Blansit, who was then the co-pastor. The church continued to grow and a new sanctuary was built in October 2005 with a seating capacity of more than 800, along with a name change to Nixa First Assembly.
In June 2013, the church celebrated twenty years of service with Senior Pastors, Don and Marquita Blansit. After serving more than 24 years as Senior Pastors of Nixa First Assembly, the Blansits announced their retirement. They were honored in a special service September 17, 2017 with the 800+ seat sanctuary filled to capacity with friends, family, missionaries, and many former staff members. Their years of ministry reached well beyond the walls of Nixa First Assembly, impacting the Nixa Community, Nixa School Teachers and Board, the Ministerial Alliance and Pastors of Nixa Area Churches that prayed together weekly. The Blansits are greatly loved and will be greatly missed by Nixa First Assembly.
